All 62 cars are good to go
The 62 cars entered in the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans have all passed their technical checks. The equipment (firesuit, helmet, licence) of the 186 drivers has been inspected. Now all competitors have the go-ahead to take part in the free practice on Wednesday from 16:00 to 20:00, then qualifying from 22:00 to 00:00, and on Thursday from 19:00 to 21:00 and 22:00 to 00:00.

A new livery for DragonSpeed in LMP1
American team DragonSpeed has adopted a new livery for the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championship Super Final. The #10 BR Engineering BR1-Gibson is decorated in the iconic colours of Gulf Oil. The crowd at Scrutineering got a peak when the car took its turn late morning.
Aston Martin driven by the 1959 win
Today, Aston Martin released an exceptional video (filmed during Test Day) of the DBR1 and the Aston Martin Vantage AMR. Sixty years after the victory won by the Aston Martin DBR1 driven by Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the marque is competing in the 87th running of the race with a real chance to take the LMGTE Pro class. The British marque is fielding two Aston Martin Vantage AMRs: the #95 shared by Nicki Thiim, Marco Sørensen and Darren Turner, and the #96 of Alex Lynn, Maxime Martin and Jonny Adam. An Aston Martin Vantage is also competing in the LMGTE Am class, the #98 driven by Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda.
AF Corse's Ferraris giving a nod to history
Seventy years ago, Ferrari won its first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans thanks to the 166MM driven by Peter Mitchell-Thomson and Luigi Chinetti. The two Ferrari 488 GTEs fielded in this year's race by Italian team AF Corse (LMGTE Pro) are acknowledging the win with rooftop stickers.
The crowd at Scrutineering pays tribute to Niki Lauda
When Mathias Lauda (Aston Martin Racing's #98 Aston Martin) presented himself for Scrutineering, the crowd honoured the memory of his father Niki Lauda with a round of applause. The three-time F1 world champion passed away on 20 May at the age of 70.
