Alex Lynn, who took part in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) Rookie Test in 2015 with Toyota and with Aston Martin in 2016, will make his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June after having participated in the last three rounds of the championship with Manor, with pole position at Shanghai.
That performance did not go unnoticed: the young Brit, originially from single-seaters, was spotted by Aston Martin and will compete in the LM P2 class throughout the upcoming season and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a race he considers crucial. He has already taken the wheel of G-Drive Racing's Oreca 07 at the tire testing conducted by Dunlop at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain.
Alex Lynn, who will be at the start of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring with BMW, will join two endurance racing veterans, Pierre Thiriet (LM P2 champion in the 2012 European Le Mans Series) and Roman Rusinov (winner in the LM P2 class in the 2015 World Endurance Championship) and will attempt to score his first win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
