A string of well-known motorsport names have joined the star-studded list of drivers already confirmed to contest the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual in just over two weeks’ time (13-14 June).

First on the roster of announcements today was Veloce Esports with a total of three entries, all competing in the LMP category.  Driving the No. 24 car will be the formidable French pairing of Pierre Gasly and Jean-Eric Vergne who will be joined by sim racers, Jarno Opmeer and Isaac Gillissen. 

Sharing driving duties in the No. 16 entry will be Stoffel Vandoorne, who finished on the podium of last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Rebellion Racing’s Norman Nato. They will be joined by sim racers Eamonn Murphy and Tomek Poradzisk.  In the third Veloce car will be the foursome made up of French-Argentine driver Sacha Fenestraz and America’s Ryan Tveter plus sim racers James Baldwin and Tom Lartilleux.

Former WEC competitor and 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button also announced that he will compete in the No. 23 Team Rocket Zansho entry alongside fellow Briton Alex Buncombe plus sim racers Jan van der Heyde and Matt Richards.

Team Penske also confirmed a stellar line-up this afternoon as the hugely successful American outfit announced its No. 6 LMP car would be piloted by 2019 IMSA Champions Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron. The duo will also be joined another IMSA Champion, Ricky Taylor and 2019 Indy500 winner Simon Pagenaud.

Elsewhere, the No. 15 Multimatic Zansho entry will be driven by British father and son racing duo Andy and Sebastian Priaux plus sim racers Mike Epps (also UK) and Canada’s Oliver Fortin. 

Finally, French outfit IDEC Sport Racing also revealed its driver line-up with former ELMS LMP2 Champion Paul-Loup Chatin and Britain’s Richard Bradley. Completing the No. 17 ORECA line-up will be sim racers Franco Colapinto and Josh Puriwen.
