Frédéric Sausset’s adventure at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (video)

Frédéric Sausset reached his objective: not only did he become the first quad-amputee to take the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, he even crossed the finish line, in a Morgan specially designed by Onroak Automotive. It was an exploit celebrated by all, including professional drivers who know all too well how demanding the race truly is.

When he lost his limbs as the result of devastating bacterial infection, Sausset decided to overcome the challenge by setting himself a goal: to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. By force of sheer determination, the businessman managed to get his project launched with help from his teammates Christophe Tinseau and Jean-Bernard Bouvet, and show that handicap can indeed be surmounted.
