Seen at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2011, the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR "iBird" of the Belgian ProSpeed Competition team will be available in 1:43 scale from 27th May 2012, in partnership with Spark Model.

The decoration of the car, called iBird, was created by Loïc Poncelet, a graphic artist at Graffiti Research Organization, a leading Belgian company who have adopted computerized calligraphy. This artful combination of nature and technology, was unveiled on the 6th June 2011 at 16:10, when it arrived for scrutineering at the Place des Jacobins. This Porsche 911 was entered in LM GTE Pro by the Belgian ProSpeed Competition team, double European Champions in FIA GT2 and GT3, with Marc Goossens, Marco Holzer and Jaap van Lagen. In the race, for a long time iBird was the best Porsche in LM GTE Pro in pursuit of Corvette and Ferrari, before several technical glitches set it back on Sunday.

Loïc Poncelet (Artist): “iBird is a bodywork which has turned into a bird with colourful plumage, and with its highly sophisticated technology on board. Being and matter, harmony and discipline, aesthetic and function, warm colours and cold colours, the contrasts were an inexhaustible source of inspiration. A halo of light, to come into being on the front bumpers, has given an additional interpretation to iBird’s design during the night. I really value this. After all Le Mans is also night-time magic!”

Rudi Penders (ProSpeed Competition Team Principal): “The graphic line of the ProSpeed Competition cars remains a constant in which we will continue to invest. However continuity does not prevent us from asserting our creativity. We were proud and delighted to offer spectators, TV viewers and internet users the most beautiful car of the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hours.”
