The Silverstone Classic to highlight the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The Silverstone Classic is set to pay tribute to the 24 Hours of Le Mans this coming weekend, 26-28 July, with a group of three grids totaling 150 cars called a "Twilight Tribute To Le Mans."

In honour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the organisers of the Silverstone Classic have created three grids of cars that have previously participated in the legendary race: the Bentley Centenary Trophy (pre-war models), the FIA Masters Historic Sports Cars and the Masters Endurance Legends. One hundred fifty cars will hit the track at dawn to reflect the atmosphere and magic of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Bentley Centenary Trophy will showcase Bentleys from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as Aston Martins, Alfa Romeos, Bugattis, Longondas and MGs. The Masters Endurance Legends will feature prototypes and GTs from the 1995-2012 editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The FIA Masters Historic Sports Cars will boast iconic Ferrari 512s, Ford GT40s, Lola T70s and Porsche 917s.
