WEC - Adjustments to the Balance of Performance within the LM GTE classes prior to Fuji

The Balance of Performance, otherwise known as BoP, was decided upon before the 6 Hours of Fuji (decision 16-D0042), per the regulations in effect at the close of every World Endurance Championship (WEC) race.

The GT class cars, initially a wide variety of series cars, underwent a battery of week-long tests to standardize their performances. Adjustments can be deemed required at any point in the year by the Endurance Committee (article n°7.4.3 of the Sporting Regulations) after an examination of the times of each car.

For the seventh round of the 2016 season, the Porsche 911 has lost 20 kg, and the flange of the Aston Martin Vantage gained 0.4 mm in the LM GTE Pro class. The only modification in the LM GTE Am class pertained to the Ferrari 458 Italia expected to lose 15 kg.

The 6 Hours of Fuji will take place Sunday, October 16th starting at 3:00 a.m. in the U.K.
