Nicolas Prost joined the Swiss team at the start of the LM P1 program back in 2009. Mathias Beche became a team member in 2013, though the Swiss driver was "loaned" to Thiriet by TDS Racing with which he competed in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. Nelson Piquet, Jr. participated in the first three races of the 2016 season, including Le Mans where despite mechanical problems, he won among the private LM P1 teams with Nicolas Prost and Nick Heidfeld.
Lastly, Bruno Senna, who has four participations in the 24 Hours including two in GT, has joined Bart Hayden's outfit after spending the 2016 season in RGR Sport by Morand's Ligier JS P2 and finishing second in the FIA Endurance LM P2 Drivers Trophy, with two class wins at Silverstone and Mexico.
The four drivers are categorized as Platinum by the FIA, so Rebellion Racing must now secure the services of two Bronze or Silver drivers: in LM P2, a line-up of three drivers must include at least one Bronze or Silver driver.
