2014 24 Hours of Le Mans Test Day - The program for Sunday, June 1st

After the technical and administrative verifications, here finally is what you've all been waiting for: action on the track! Starting at 9:00 a.m., the cars will line up at the red light at the end of pit lane ready to do battle with the track under sanction of the chronometer.

The first laps are cautious: the circuit being temporary, even the most seasoned must get a feel for the "green" track that they have not raced on in almost a year. As far as the rookies go, they will have familiarized themselves with the circuit thanks to the simulator sessions, but the reality of traffic is a whole other matter and they must think of returning the car intact.

Porsche fans will definitely feel their hearts palpitate when the first 919 Hybrid will tread the ground in La Sarthe, 16 years after the German manufacturer's first victory at Le Mans. The new LM P1 regulations in effect, Audi, Porsche, Toyota and Rebellion Racing have been preparing for months for this eight-hour Test Day, split in two sessions of four hours of rolling.

A first hierarchy will emerge no doubt by the end of the day. To be confirmed on June 14th and 15th at the 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
