The week always kicks off with administrative and technical checks, otherwise known as Scrutineering, an extremely popular opportunity for the public to get a look at the competitors and their cars. Huge crowds flock to the Place de la République to catch a glimpse of their favorite racing cars and the stars who drive them.
For two full days, downtown Le Mans is at fever pitch as the 60 competitors participating in the 24 Hours submit to administrative and technical checks: all paperwork and equipment must be in order and the cars, measured from every angle, must comply with the regulations.
While the technical marshals are focused on the task at hand, the crowd enjoys one big free party! Scrutineering will start Sunday 10 June at 2:00 p.m. local time with French team Panis Barthez Compétition's #23 Ligier LMP2. The day will come to a close at 6:00 p.m. after ByKOLLES Racing's ENSO LMP1 has passed inspection.
Don't forget to come back tomorrow to find out what's happening on Monday 11 June!
