As in the Charlie's Angels television series, they are three. And this is how these "Angels" entered the history books at the end of the 24 Hours 2011.
Leena Gade, the winner: Engineer of the Audi R18 TDI #2 of Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer, this young 35 year old woman is the first lady of the corporation to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This success is also the first of her three drivers in La Sarthe.
Vanina Ickx, the regular. For her seventh 24 hours, Vanina Ickx took the chequered flag for the fifth time, setting her best result at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with seventh place overall, behind the wheel of the Lola-Aston Martin coupe #22 of Kronos Racing.
Andrea Robertson, the wife. For Andrea Robertson, the 24 Hours of Le Mans will remain a great memory of married blisss. Finishing third in LM GTE Am (26th overall, in Ford GT #68) with her husband, she was the first woman to mount the podium of the 24 hours since 1931.
