11/24 – Three winners of the 24 hours at the forefront. Past winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Alexander Wurz, Christophe Bouchut and Guy Smith shined in 2011.
Between them they account for twenty-nine participants and four wins in La Sarthe.
Alexander Wurz, still winning. After winning twice in La Sarthe, and at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2010, the Austrian added his name to the winners roster of the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps and Petit Le Mans in 2011. He has five entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, two wins, one in 1996 (TWR-Porsche) and again 2009 (Peugeot 908 HDi FAP).
Christophe Bouchut, a new life in America. Winner in LM P2 at Sebring for the opening of the ILMC 2011, the Frenchman took the class title in the American Le Mans Series with the American Level 5 Motorsports team. He has eighteen participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and one win in 1993 (Peugeot 905).
Guy Smith, raids the ALMS. With Dyson Racing, the British driver left nothing for his opponents, with four titles in the premier LM P1 prototype class (driver, manufacturer, team and engine manufacturer) in the American Le Mans Series. He has six participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with one win in 2003 (Bentley EXP Speed 8).
