At the official European Le Mans Series tests at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, Irish team Murphy Prototypes revealed the identity of the three drivers who will compete in the European Le Mans Series: Nathana
Like the last couple of years, Karun Chandhok will take the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Murphy Prototypes outfit. Though in 2013 the Irish team finished in sixth place in the LM P2 class after G-Drive Racing's declassification, the 2014 edition was not kind to the green Oreca since the Indian driver had an incident during the free practice and the No. 48 Oreca 03R-Nissan was forced to retire after only 73 race laps.
Mark Patterson having taken part in the 2013 edition, Nathanaël Berthon the following year, and Karun Chandhok the year after that, the trio at the wheel of the Irish Oreca will have experience with Le Mans, which could play in their favour in the increasingly high-caliber and competitive LM P2 class.
