Along with Julien Schell and Nicolas Leutwiler, Léo Roussel had the joy of reaching the checkered flag at his first 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a 10th place finish in the LM P2 class. This year, he will once again drive in the race that is close to his heart for many reasons.

Léo Roussel: "There is no word strong enough to describe such a race. This year will be about not repeating the same mistakes as last year. With Pegasus Racing, we have changed a lot this year and we hope all the work will pay off. That first participation gave me a lot of tenacity: the 24 Hours of Le Mans is an extremely long, intense and affecting race. One must not only know how to manage the race itself but also all the emotions it brings."

Many other young drivers of your generation are choosing a career in endurance. What about for you?
"Though I did Formula Renault, I have always favoured endurance along with my whole family and namely with my uncle (Patrice Roussel, seven participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1993 to 2006, editor's note). I have always been impressed by the 24 Hours of Le Mans, by the endurance world and the family that can be created. For me, endurance has always been a choice of the heart, not of the career."
