Marc Gené's record after becoming a professional driver in 1998 is impressive with no less than five podium finishes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in eight participations, including one win overall in 2009 with Alexander Wurz (now an official Toyota driver) and David Brabham. Those five podium finishes were achieved with two different manufacturers (Audi and Peugeot), making the Spanish driver a choice experienced rookie for Nissan, returning to the main class after a 16-year absence.
