24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 - Sporting regulations: weighing for LM P1 Drivers

To better understand the 24 Hours of Le Mans regulations, a series of articles will be published here during race week.

Weighing for LM P1 Drivers

Competitors in the LM P1 class must declare the minimum weight in kilograms of each driver entered with his full equipment during the administrative checks. The minimum weight declared must take into account potential loss of weight during the race.

The average weight of the drivers is calculated and must be at 80 kg.

If the average weight of the drivers is less than 80 kg, driver ballast must be added. This is done according to the following formula: 80 kg – average weight of the drivers.

The minimum weight of the car will thus be the basic imposed minimum weight + driver ballast.
