24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 - Team SARD Morand pulls out of the Race to 24 competition

The Team SARD Morand, who had entered two Morgan EVO Sards in the LM P2 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2015, will now only enter one car after having passed on the 6 Hours of Silverstone, the opening round of the championship.

The only remaining car sports the number 43 for the trio Pierre Ragues, European Le Mans Series champion in 2013, Oliver Webb, one of his successors in 2014, and Zoel Amberg. The withdrawal means former Peugeot factory driver Christian Klien will be behind the wheel for the season. The Austrian driver joined the ByKOLLES Racing team - who has yet to reveal its driver line-up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans - at the last minute for the 6 Hours of Silverstone, opening round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) seasaon.

Additionally, for financial reasons, the oufit run by Benoît Morand will not be able to welcome the winner of the online game "Race to 24" which will most likely be cancelled. The winner of the show was supposed to win a place in the second Morgan for the 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Team SARD Morand outfit has confirmed its presence in all FIA WEC races and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
