24 Hours of Le Mans – A highly competitive LMGTE Am class

At the 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans scheduled on 21-22 August, the LMGTE Am class will offer a three-way battle between Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin. Who will succeed TF Sport?

With 24 competitors confirmed this year, LMGTE Am is sure to provide edge-of-your-seat action at the 2021 24 Hours in August. The class allows gentlemen-drivers to race on equal footing by teaming up with professional drivers like Giancarlo Fisichella, Felipe Fraga, Patrick Long, Julien Andlauer and Andrea Piccini.

This year, LMGTE Am will boast 12 Ferrari 488 GTE Evos, eight Porsche 911 RSR-19s and four Aston Martin Vantage AMRs. Several teams are keen to follow the success of British team TF Sport, the class winner last year with an Aston Martin. As in 2020, an all-female driver line-up will share Iron Lynx's Ferrari 488 GTE Evo with Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting already confirmed.

The winner of the FIA Endurance GTE Teams and GTE Drivers Trophies last season, the #83 Ferrari of AF Corse will be looking to uphold its domination. François Perrodo and Nicklas Nielsen will join forces with Alessio Rovera to that end.

Julien Andlauer, a driver of Dempsey-Proton Racing's Porsche 911 RSR-19, reacts to the publication of the entry list for the 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans in the video below:
