Club is the operative word here and we nurture the feeling of belonging. Let’s not forget that 110 years ago the ACO’s founding members vowed to create a club to bring motorists together. That’s why, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, ACO members are made particularly welcome.
“ACO members have access to special lounges”, says Sandrine Foucher, responsible for club membership.
The main lounge is on the chapel curve near the Dunlop footbridge.“It’s a place to relax or eat and drink and there are plenty of screens to watch the race and keep an eye on the standings board. The lounge is a great vantage point with a superb view from the Dunlop to Tertre Rouge that you can’t get anywhere else. It’s especially beautiful at nightfall. ACO club members may be accompanied by their family members free of charge. Entry for other non-members costs €15. This venue is one of the largest at the circuit. Some 7,000 people use it during race week”, explains Foucher.
"Grandstands 17 and 18 are also reserved for club members. The 2,250 tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and usually sell out quickly. They are in a great spot, just opposite the pit straight. There is a members-only restaurant just below.
Members also have a 25% discount on General Enclosure tickets (up to 6) and a 20% discount in club restaurants. Most importantly, the ACO strives to create a fun, friendly atmosphere for club members and to make sure they get the best possible experience of the race."
There are many more surprises in store for club members at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. There will be special rewards for long-term membership and welcome offers for new members and if you’re not yet a member of the ACO, you can join at the circuit!
