24 Hours of Le Mans — And the lucky winner of the ACO competition is...
Vincent Tomasina cannot believe his luck: after winning an ACO competition, he will raise the flag to start the warm-up lap before the race on Saturday!
Vincent Tomasina is the lucky winner of an email quiz reserved for ACO members, earning him the honour of giving the ‘virtual’ start to the world’s greatest endurance race. 28-year-old Vincent, an IT technician, lives up the road in Tours — for 51 weeks of the year anyway, because he spends the remaining week in Le Mans, for the 24 Hours! “I first came to the race four years ago, when my brother-in-law invited me and immediately fell in love with it! I was already a huge motorsports fan, even before coming to the 24 Hours, but endurance racing is on a whole different level.”
Vincent also receives a range of 24 Hours of Le Mans clothing and the chance to experience the race as a VIP, with exclusive access behind the scenes.
"I’m amazingly lucky. I can't quite believe it."
V. Tomasina
Vincent Tomasina joined the ACO when he first came to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. “I was won over by the affordable range of services for drivers, such as the driving licence points recovery scheme, legal aid and so on. Then, as a member, I get special access and reduced rates for ACO events, including the 24 Hours.”
How does our fan think he will feel as he goes down on to the track to take the green flag? “I don't know, but I’m starting to feel the stress,” he confides. Make sure you give Vincent an encouraging cheer this Saturday, at 14:52 on the dot, when the warm-up lap begins.
