24 Hours of Le Mans – Cadillac releases first Hypercar image

Cadillac has given a preview of the Hypercar the American constructor will field in the FIA WEC and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2023.

As Cadillac defends its constructor title in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the marque continues to prepare for its return to the world endurance racing stage. Cadillac Design is creating its Hypercar by drawing inspiration from previous successes. The car compliant with the LMDh regulations is being co-developed with the chassis manufacturer Dallara and will feature a new Cadillac engine coupled with a common hybrid system as required.

Cadillac's lead exterior creative designer Chris Mikalauskas: "While the new race car will take into account IMSA and ACO regulations, Cadillac’s brand characteristics will be instantly recognizable, many of which are seen on our V-Series vehicles today. It will artistically combine form and function to influence the development of the forthcoming race car. Elements of Cadillac’s brand DNA, such as vertical lighting and floating blades, will be present throughout.”

Cadillac's Hypercar will be fully revealed this summer and will make its debut in competition at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January 2023. Learn more in the video below:
