24 Hours of Le Mans – David Zollinger rounds out Algarve Pro Racing driver line-up

David Zollinger will take the start in the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 15 June at the wheel of the #25 ORECA 07-Gibson fielded in the LMP2 class by Portuguese team Algarve Pro Racing, replacing recently injured Mark Patterson.

Algarve Pro Racing has confirmed French driver David Zollinger for the #25 ORECA 07-Gibson at the upcoming 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Super Final of the 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Zollinger will step in for American driver Mark Patterson in need of recovery time after an incident this past weekend during the free practice at the 4 Hours of Monza, second round of the 2019 European Le Mans Series.

Zollinger (36 years old) has participated in the legendary race twice, most recently in 2017 at the wheel of IDEC SPORT Racing's Ligier JS P217-Gibson. He finished 12th overall and 10th in LMP2 along with teammates Patrice Lafargue and Paul Lafargue.

He is set to share the #25 ORECA 07-Gibson with Andrea Pizzitola and John Falb, and will take part in two testing days scheduled on 15-16 May in Spain at the Motorland Aragón circuit.
