24 Hours of Le Mans drivers and fans jog around the Bugatti circuit!

Five fans have had the privilege of going for a jog on the Bugatti circuit with six drivers who will be racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This morning, Mathias Beche and Ryo Hirakawa of Thiriet By TSD (#46 Oreca), Extreme Speed Motorsports’ Louis Felipe Derani (#31 Ligier), Harry Tincknell (#67 Ford GT), and Marco Sørensen and Fernand Rees (#95 Aston Martin Vantage) put on their trainers and met up with the fans.

Casual or experienced runners Angélique Fernandes (46), Pierre-Yves Deschamps (26), Erwan Metivier (25), Florian Veignie (22) and Axel Bodin (18) tackled the 4.185-km Bugatti circuit while chatting with the drivers. “It might not look like it, but the climb up to the Dunlop Bridge is really steep!” Erwan exclaimed. “I didn’t burn too much rubber!” laughed Angélique, showing the soles of her trainers, before adding “the challenge was to keep pace with the drivers who are true athletes. I’m proud to say I did it.” Erwan is a keen follower of Aston Martin and was delighted to have the chance of a few words with Sørensen.

These fans will all be back from 12–19 June for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race week.
