24h Le Mans
With the 24 Hours of Le Mans free practice and qualifying sessions, as well as Road to Le Mans, this first day on the track promises to be intense.
From 10:00 to 13:00, then from 14:00 to 17:00, then from 20:00 to 00:00, the 60 teams entered in the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans will have nine hours of track time and long stints to fine-tune their car set-ups for the race. Some will attempt to clock fast performances to situate themselves in the hierarchy and get a feel for their car's performance level. Rookie drivers will do their first laps at the great 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, so there will be some traffic on the track.
Scheduled from 17:15 to 18:00, qualifying is always a thrilling aspect of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. All competitors have 45 minutes to clock the fastest time possible. This 88th running will usher in a new qualifying formula: the top 6 in each class will take part in the Hyperpole the next day.
Cars in the GT3 and LMP3 classes will once again race at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. Competitors in the Michelin Le Mans Cup will be joined for the race by those from all over the world to form the largest field of the 2020 season. Entrants will have two one-hour free practice sessions: the first from 08:30 to 09:30 and the second from 18:30 to 19:30.
Though the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place behind closed doors due to the international health crisis, you can live stream all the action.
As the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held behind closed doors this year, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has launched a special feature allowing fans to live the race from home and even go behind the scenes via a digital platform with exclusive video and audio content, and much more.
