24 Hours of Le Mans – The Glickenhaus 007 LMH fires up for the first time

The Glickenhaus 007 LMH due to make its FIA WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans début this year is almost ready to roll. Its engine has even made itself heard for the first time.

The V8 twin-turbo prepared by French company Pipo Moteurs let out its first growl in the workshop of Podium Advanced Engineering, entrusted by Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus to develop the 007 LMH. Everything ticked over nicely. Regulations state that the engine can develop up to 680 hp for a minimum weight of 165 kg.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will pursue assembly of the Hypercar before the first shakedown scheduled in the coming weeks. The American constructor has already announced its driver line-up for 2021: Ryan Briscoe, Pipo Derani, Romain Dumas, Franck Mailleux, Gustavo Menezes, Olivier Pla and Richard Westbrook form the FIA WEC squad for the 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans on 12-13 June 2021.
