24 Hours of Le Mans - The Race Village has something for everyone

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the highlight of the endurance racing calendar. Lucky fans who watch the action at the track have the added bonus of being able to visit the Race Village. A very warm welcome to spectators of all ages.

Ladies first

Ladies, when you want a break from the track action, head for the colourful, flower-filled women-only relaxation area, the Pavillon des Femmes in Allée Georges Durand. The marquee is all about well-being: make-up, hair, nails, facials and leg massages. Just book a slot when you enter the pavilion.

Open 09:00-23:00 on Saturday and 09:00-14:00 on Sunday

Kids’ zone

If you prefer to watch the race child-free, take them to the créche in the kids’ zone where child minders will amuse them while you’re away. (Open on Saturday until 21:00) Meanwhile, try your hand at flying a fighter plane on the French airforce simulator.

In the same area, 7 to 11 year olds can learn to drive on mini cars and quads. A fun way to introduce them to road safety!

Not for the faint-hearted!

Fancy yourself as a racing driver? Step into the shoes of a Le Mans driver on the Michelin-sponsored simulator. On the same stand, take a look at a prototype of a driverless car or try out the Formula One simulator and do a lap of Silverstone in a Mercedes-AMG Petronas. If you prefer not to to be behind the wheel, head for the Toyota stand and try your hand at changing a tyre of an LMP1 prototype.

Pedal for a good cause

You don’t need to be an athlete do a few minutes on the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque home trainers. For every kilometre covered, the heart surgery charity receives 2 euros. The funds go towards helping children suffering from heart malformations to undergo surgery in France. The children, from underprivileged countries, stay with host families in France during their convalescence. Once they are fully fit, they return home, ready to start a new chapter in their young lives.
