The 24 Hours of Le Mans once again delivered an impressive set of data this weekend. We crunched the numbers for this 93rd running which ended in triumph for the AF Corse #83 Ferrari 499P.
The win for the AF Corse #83 Ferrari 499P is the twelfth for the Italian manufacturer. Ferrari is the third-highest ranking marque in terms of race wins at Le Mans behind Porsche (19) and Audi (13).
It was the first win for all three drivers: Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson. Kubica is the first Polish driver, and Yifei Ye the first Chinese driver ever to win the race.
The #83 finished with a gap of 14.084 over the #6 Porsche 963. The top four finished within 29.666 seconds of each other.
The distance covered by the winning car, at an average speed of 219.3 kph. The distance equates to 387 laps – 76 more than last year. The distance record stands at 5,410.713 kilometres, set by the Audi R15+ TDi driven by Romain Dumas, Timo Bernhard and Mike Rockenfeller.
The fastest time recorded for a lap of the course during the race. It was set by Sébastien Bourdais, driver of the #38 Cadillac V-Series.R entered by Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA. The local man achieved the feat on the car’s 310th lap.
The number of outright leader changes during the race. The #83 Ferrari 499P was in the lead for a total 140 laps, compared to 95 for #51 Ferrari 499P and 65 for the #6 Porsche 963. The #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid led for six laps and the #94 Peugeot 9X8 for two.
The highest peak speed recorded during this 93rd edition, clocked by Antonio Giovinazzi in the #51 Ferrari 499P on the 64th lap.
In LMP2, the top speed of 326.8 kph was attained by the United Autosports #22 Oreca 07-Gibson.
The shortest time spent in the pit lane. The Porsche Penske Motorsport #6 Porsche 963 owns this record.
Richard Lietz’s LMGT3 victory with the Manthey 1st Phorm Porsche 911 GT3 R is his sixth class win (2007, 2010, 2013, 2022 and 2024) and the most ever for a Porsche driver.
The #83 Ferrari 499P’s victory is also the 34th triumph for Michelin and the 28th in a row (starting in 1998). Michelin is therefore on a par with Goodyear in terms of tyre manufacturer wins.

The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place from 10–14 June. Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota will be joined by Genesis in the Hypercar class.
