Nine-time winner and record holder at Le Mans, Tom Kristensen has yet another 24-hour race under his belt - this time on two wheels.
The Dane, who retired from endurance racing in 2014, completed the 24-hour mountain bike race on home ground, in Rebild national park in North Jutland. One of his teammates was fellow countryman Marco Sorensen, factory driver for Aston Martin in LM GTE Pro, who will be driving in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015. The team won their category having completed 38 laps and covered an impressive 444 kilometres.
Tom Kristensen will be replaced at the wheel of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro n°8 by Briton Oliver Jarvis, who will be driving with Frenchman Loïc Duval and Lucas di Grassi of Brazil in the forthcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship 2015.
