24 Hours of Le Mans - Tom Kristensen wins in Race of Champions!

Triumph for Tom Kristensen in the Race of Champions in Barbados: In the competition of the best motor racers from various disciplines, Tom Kristensen won the Nations classification.

 

The nine-time Le Mans winner, who just retired at the end of the season, teamed up with with the Norwegian driver Petter Solberg, former WRC World Champion and current Rallycross World Champion, to win the Nations Classification. In the finale, they prevailed against Susie Wolff and David Coulthard from Team Scotland. Kristensen had previously won the Nations Cup in the Race of Champions in 2005, with Mattias Ekstrom from Sweden as a team mate.

For his last endurance race two weeks ago, the Le Mans record winner finished third in the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, the final round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship, with Loic Duval and Lucas di Grassi. He scored an impressive 50% success rate in La Sarthe, starting the 24 Hours 18 times and scoring nine victories.
