24 Hours of Le Mans - Toyota tours Japan

In the run-up to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Toyota is embarking on a 4-week tour of Japan to promote its participation in endurance racing. Between 27 May and 19 June the TS 040 Hybrid will be on the road.

What better way to raise interest among the general public than to show them what a real racing car looks like close up? From Tokyo to Okayama via Hiroshima, Kobé, Hyogo, Aichi and Suzaka, Toyota will be shouting from the rooftops that it is taking part in the world’s greatest endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Anyone who comes to see the TS 040 Hybrid (with the TS 050 Hybrid livery) will be given a special booklet.

With a podium place at the 6 Hours of Silverstone and some good pace in the exciting round at Spa, Toyota seems back in the fight for victory at Le Mans. This year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans is wide open and the Japanese constructor is in a good position to take the trophy. “We have the weapon to win, and a few weeks in which to take care of any remaining little problems!” said Toyota TS 050 Hybrid #5 driver Anthony Davidson recently.
