Here is a summary of the highlights in each class at the end of the second hour of racing.
LMP
- Veloce Esports 2's #16 ORECA 07 LMP2 driven by Stoffel Vandoorne is now in the lead at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual ahead of Team Redline's #20 with sim racer Atze Kerkhof currently at the wheel.
- Driving TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's #7 ORECA 07 LMP2, José María López has proven very incisive early in this race. The Argentinian driver who started from 18th position is now third just 22 seconds from the lead car.
- FA/RB Allinsports' #14 driven by Fernando Alonso came to a stop in the Mulsanne Straight. The Spanish driver had previously incurred a one-second penalty for contact with the #94 Porsche 911 RSR. The 2018 and 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans winner initially executed the penalty with the goal of returning to his pit one lap later to refuel. However, the amount of fuel in the ORECA 07 LMP2 was not enough for another lap and the car was forced to stop and will withdraw from the race.
- TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's #8 ORECA 07 LMP2 left the track in the Indianapolis Corner during the first hour and fell back to 28th position.
GTE
- Dempsey-Proton Racing's #88 Porsche 911 RSR holds the lead, but R8G Esports Team's #80 Corvette C7.R is fast on its heels, and Porsche Esports Team's #93 Porsche 911 RSR is not far behind.
- Three major marques (Porsche, Corvette and Aston Martin) are in the top 5 in the class.
