The world title clinched by Sébastien Buemi rewarded excellent demonstrations by Swiss motorsports in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and in the other "Le Mans" series. In 2015 as in 2014, a Swiss driver will be a member of each of the three teams looking for victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Buemi and Toyota, Marcel Fässler and Audi, and Neel Jani with Porsche!
FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)
Sébastien Buemi (No. 8 Toyota TS040 Hybrid) – Four victories (6 Hours of Silverstone, WEC Spa-Francorchamps, Fuji and Shanghai), driver World Champion.
Marcel Fässler (No. 2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro) – Two victories (24 Hours of Le Mans and 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas.
Neel Jani (No. 14 Porsche 919 Hybrid) – One victory (6 Hours of Sao Paulo).
At the wheel of the Chinese team's Oreca-Nissan, Alexandre Imperatori also won two consecutive victories in the LM P2 class (6 Hours of Bahrain and Sao Paulo).
European Le Mans Series
Gary Hirsch (No. 43 Morgan-Judd, NewBlood by Morand Racing) – One victory (4 Hours of Paul Ricard).
Regarding Swiss teams, Rebellion Racing, with the Lola coupe (at Silverstone) then its new car, the R-One (starting with Spa-Francorchamps), won the FIA Endurance LM P1 Private Teams Trophy in the FIA WEC, with eight wins in eight races, with notably at the wheel Swiss drivers Fabio Leimer and Mathias Beche (four wins each). The latter also won two victories in the CN class of the Asian Le Mans Series. In the European Le Mans Series, NewBlood by Morand Racing (Morgan-Judd) and Race Performance (Oreca-Judd) finished third and fifth in the final LM P2 team standings, respectively.
