Though of two different generations, the actor-driver of the series "Grey’s Anatomy" (48 years old) and the lead singer for AC/DC (67 years old) still had something in common for their respective visits to La Sarthe: the Porsche 911, as well as an experienced teammate. Patrick Dempsey was once again at 911 expert Patrick Long's side, while Brian Johnson benefitted from advice from Jochen Mass, winner in Le Mans in 1989.
For now, Dempsey has a 100% success rate at the 24 Hours: in three participations, he has passed under the checkered flag three times, with in 2014 fifth place in the LM GTE Am class (24th overall). In 2015, he decided to enter a new and important stage in his life as a driver by announcing his entry into the FIA WEC. On the other hand, Johnson's passion for motorsports has to contend with AC/DC's loaded schedule: after promotion for their latest album "Rock or Bust," released on December 1st, the group will be on a world tour next year. Funnily, AC/DC had finished recording their 15th international album in Vancouver, Canada on July 2nd…And the very next day, Johnson was in La Sarthe for the first day of the seventh edition of the Le Mans Classic!
