18/24 - Tuesday, December 18: The Adventures of Romain Dumas
Romain Dumas, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans (also setting a new distance record) in 2010, had a hectic and exciting 2012 season.

Worthy heir to the great drivers of the 1960s and '70s, who could be seen driving both prototypes and rally cars, Dumas is a talented French globetrotter, between Belgium, United States and France.

Endurance racing: A victory in Belgium. Audi driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship and of course the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Romain Dumas took victory in the second round, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps WEC in the new R18 ultra, with Loïc Duval and Marc Gené. The 24 Hours of Le Mans was not so easy. After going off early in the race, Romain Dumas collected bits of bodywork before returning to the pits for repair. A second incident for Marc Gené on Sunday morning finally pushed the trio into fourth place.

Pikes Peak: an American legend. For his first participation in the famous American hillclimb, Romain Dumas came close to victory, finishing second only 17 thousandths behind winner Rhys Millen, covering the 20 km climb with 170 turns in less than ten minutes (9 ' 46'' 181). Driving a car he knows almost by heart (Porsche 911 GT3 R), he intends to return to Colorado in the future, with victory as the goal.

Rallye du Var: A French podium. His adventurous 2012 season ended with the closing round of the French Rally Championship ... Following the third rally Lyon Charbonnières, he scored another podium in the Var, with second place, together with the victory in the GT+ class and the Michelin Trophy. But for Romain Dumas, these diversions in rally are not just a "bonus". Although we don't not yet know his 2013 programme, between Audi and Porsche's return (with whom he is a works driver) with a factory team in LM GTE Pro (pending prototypes LM P1 in 2014), the driver from Ales could be very busy!
