Audi finished the first day of testing with the four fastest times. Porsche dominated LM GTE Am and LM GTE Pro.
Already delayed by 25 minutes following an accident in the Radical Masters series, the second Free Practice session was terminated within 3 minutes of the session end, after the track exit of Alexander Sims Lola coupe (Status GP) at the top of Raidillon/Eau Rouge.
This second session of 90 minutes was dominated by Audi. The German manufacturer placed its four LM P1 prototypes in the first four places. This time, unlike the first morning session, the two R18 e-tron quattro hybrids occupied the top two spots. In 2:03.075, the trio of Fässler-Lotterer-Tréluyer preserved and enhanced their advantage of more than a second on the best lap this morning. Can the new generation of hybrid prototypes be overtaken?
Behind the four German diesel machines, it was still the Rebellion Racing team that pulled out the best lap at 3.237 seconds off the fastest time, the Lola-Toyota was ahead of #12 Dome-Judd run by Pescarolo Team by more than one second. Finally, note that the Honda ARX-03a of Strakka remained in its pit this afternoon due to a gearbox problem.
Fastest times in each class.
