| THE CIRCUIT |
|
After Zhuhai in 2010 and 2011, endurance racing this year arrives in the most populous city in China. Opened on the 6th of June 2004, the circuit has hosted nine F1 grand-prix, which have often been particularly eventful. Like all the circuits designed by the architect Hermann Tilke, is characterized by a succession of short straights and tight corners, to encourage overtaking. This 5.451 km circuit is popular with drivers.

| The 28 regular competitors of the championship includes the factory teams Audi R18 and Toyota TS030. In LM P1, the man to follow is the local driver Cong Fu Cheng who will be with Andrea Belicchi and Harold Primat in the Lola Toyota No.13 of Rebellion Racing. In 2008, he became the first Chinese driver to participate, complete, and reach a podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (third in LM P2). In LM GTE Pro, the works Aston Martin team aim to beat rivals Ferrari and Porsche, who have scored all the class victories since the beginning of the season. |
