A Le Mans trophy put up at auction by Mathias Beche (Rebellion)

In December, the former Swiss driver Philippe Favre passed away while skiing. So as to help Favre's family, Mathias Beche, Rebellion Racing driver, is putting up at auction one of his 24 Hours of Le Mans trophies at the Circuit de Bresse on Wednesday.

Philippe Favre, like many drivers, came up in karting, then single-seater formulas like Formula Ford or F3000. He participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1994 (16th) and in 1995 (unranked) with Honda before founding a coaching and driving company.

Now at the Circuit de Bresse in Saône-et-Loire, Mathias Beche (Facebook) will put up at auction a 24 Hours of Le Mans trophy to help support the family of his fellow countryman Philippe Favre. The Swiss driver finished, along with Nicolas Prost and Nick Heidfeld, in fourth place at the 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June with Rebellion R-One powered by Toyota.
