A Morgan story from scrutineering

On the fringes of scrutineering in the place de la République there is a mini-village of exhibitors. Morgan is showing one of their creations that is not well known in France, in the colors of Oak Racing.

Morgan is none other than the last independent British manufacturer, the others now owned by investors from Germany, India, Malaysia and China. Each year, nearly 900 units are assembled and finished by hand, as were the 50,000 cars in circulation in the world. They have invested in an endurance racing program with a "Made in France" prototype (Oak Racing) in LM P2. This year, five Morgan Nissans are at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the opportunity to present one of the iconic models of the brand: Three wheeler.

With its engine overhanging the front wheels and one wheel at the rear, this model was created more than a century ago in 1912! - When Harrods had added the car to its catalogue, it was a sales success and was kept as a model until February 1952, when the last one was delivered, after production of more than 30,000 !

Recently re-emerged, it has found a new audience. With a total weight of just over 500 kg, it combines "performance" and "energy conservation" ... one of the core values of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest.
