At the edge of the highway that goes from London to Silverstone, the current site includes no less than 12 buildings that have been added over the years and during the diversification of the entreprise since 1986. A unique structure of more than 10,000m2, on which construction will begin in August, still at Banbury, will replace the multitude of buildings.
David Richards, Prodrive founder and former rally co-driver (World Champion with Ari Vatanen), extended the scope of the British company: "While we are best known for our motorsport successes, this now only represents a third of our turnover. Walk around our site today and you will see Aston Martin Racing cars and MINI rally cars being prepared in workshops right next to advanced active aero systems for road going supercars; interior modules for luxury cars; advanced hybrid systems; and even the next generation of control systems for racing yachts."
At this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin Racing won the LM GTE Am class with a Vantage V8 and the Danish trio Kristian Poulsen-Nicki Thiim-David Heinemeier Hansson is participating in the entire FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
