A very busy month of December for Onroak Automotive (Ligier)

Onroak Automotive, which designs and builds the Ligier JS P2s (LM P2) and JS P3s (LM P3) organized two December testing sessions in Spain for several of its outfit clients. In the meantime, back at the Magny-Cours and Le Mans workshops, mechanics have been hard at work to deliver to clients on time.

From December 8th to the 10th at Navarra, the new outfit created by Fabien Barthez and Olivier Panis, Panis Barthez Compétition, tested several drivers in order to select the future teammates of the 1998 Football World Champion in LM P2. The French team was accompanied by Swiss outfit Race Performance which conducted a testing session with its drivers in the Ligier JS P3 as prep for the coming ELMS season, Michel Frey's outfit in the lead of the LM P2 class in the Asian Le Mans Series after two races.

Returning to the south December 16th and 17th with no less than 10 LM P3 prototypes, but this time at the Barcelona circuit with a two-fold goal: to assist the client teams and to validate the improvements made to the car. The modifications were made in the Onroak Automotive workshops where employees are very busy in the face of the success of house designs and in the LM P3 class, put in place by the ACO as the bottom rung of the endurance pyramid.

Indeed, OAK Racing's constructor branch delivered 13 Ligier JS P3s in 2015 and is getting ready to do the same in 2016, and four Ligier JS P2s are being assembled at Le Mans to be received from now until the month of March by Greaves Motorsport, IDEC Sport Racing, Panis Barthez Compétition and SO24! by Lombard Racing.

Jacques Nicolet, Président of Onroak Automotive: "These test days shared with our clients are very important and prove how much we want to help them to get the best out of our sports prototypes. For Onroak Automotive supplying efficient reactive backup is a priority, and we’re determined to give ourselves the resources to satisfy the drivers and teams who have put their trust in us by choosing our cars."

A break will be welcomed by the entire Onroak Automotive team before kicking off a new season with namely a partnership with the American team Extreme Speed Motorsports in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
