One month after the announcement of the recruitment of Mathias Beche, Rebellion Racing have confirmed that Andrea Belicchi will be retained for 2013. It will be the Italian driver's 7th season with the Swiss team (formerly Speedy Racing) that in 2007, made its debut in LMS (that became ELMS) running a Spyker.
Andrea Belicchi will be with the team at the Sebring 12 hours, the first round of the American Le Mans Series. The rest of the team's racing programme will be announced later this month.
Andrea Belicchi : "I am delighted at the prospect of racing again with REBELLION Racing, it's my second family. The Team’s racing programme for 2013 is not finalised for the moment, but I am confident it will be a strong one. There is mutual trust between us and we will be looking to be in a position to win, no matter which championship or continent we’re racing on! The team and our technical partners are working hard on improvements for the car, there are many developments to come, and I am ready myself already to start the new season with REBELLION Racing.”
Bart Hayden, Rebellion Racing Team Manager : "I am very pleased that Andrea will be with us again next season, he has been and remains a key member of the team. He is quick, reliable, loyal and he shares our great team spirit."
