Anthony Davidson: 'Doc not impressed!'

Injured after a fall from his bicycle in August, Anthony Davidson returned triumphantly to competition in November ... but too soon according to his doctor.

Last August, as part of its regular cycle training, the Briton broke his left collarbone in a fall. His recovery, although rapid, he was not allowed not to race his 'home' round at Silverstone. Simon Pagenaud replaced him in the tub for the Peugeot 908 #7.

On 12th November, the British driver managed a winning return alongside Sebastien Bourdais at the 6 Hours of Zhuhai. Yet almost two months later, his injury does not appear fully repaired. He recently tweeted: "After a routine X-ray of the collarbone it appears the seat-belts & HANS device have bent the metal plate. Doc not impressed!"

The tone of the message, however, suggests that his premature return to the track with the Peugeot Sport team will not affect his 2012 season.
