The qualifying session could not have gone more smoothly for Anthony Davidson and the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP #07 with a time of 1'07.187. While the sister car regularly monopolised the top of the timesheets in recent days, the British driver was keen to reward his mechanics who worked until four o'clock this morning to rebuild the car he damaged in night practice. Four quick laps were enough to hoist the French prototype to the top of the timing screens while his rivals scrambled to try to improve their position on the grid.

Three-tenths from Pedro Lamy, Anthony Davidson snatched the top spot on the grid. Both Audis however are less than a second behind the pole sitter.

In LMP2, the OAK Racing team fielded a car that fully addresses the more restrictive ACO 2010 regulations and it could not compete on equal terms with other competitors benefiting from USA regulations. The French team can count on the reliability shown by the car since the beginning of the year, remember that the team mounted on the second step of the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Guy Smith dominated in the LMP2 with the #16 Lola-Mazda of Dyson Racing less than two tenths ahead of Klaus Graf and the Cytosport Porsche RS Spyder in second and Highcroft Racing in third.
