Q: Congratulations on the new deal with AAI Motorsport! What does joining AAI Motorsport mean to you?
Since competing in Formula BMW Pacific in 2008, I have been very keen to continue racing in Asia and AAI Motorsports have provided an amazing opportunity for me to develop my profile outside of Europe. I have a lot of experience in the BMW Z4 GT3, which I can hopefully use to help the team develop the setup on their car and I will work closely with my teammates to ensure we grow together into a winning combination.
Q: Are you excited to compete in Asian Le Mans Series? And what is your goal for 2014 Asian LMS?
I am extremely excited to compete in the Asian Le Mans Series, especially following my experience in the 2013 European Le Mans Series. This year will be a new challenge for me with different circuits, teammates, competitors and a totally different environment and I am looking forward to taking it on. My goal for 2014 is to win our championship class.
Q: What do you think about driving with Asian drivers? Do you think Asian Le Mans Series will help Asian drivers to improve?
It will be very interesting working with Asian drivers and I’m sure we can help each other to develop further. I’m sure we will have different approaches to certain situations and we will be able to learn from each other to create a stronger partnership. I certainly feel that Asian Le Mans Series will help any driver improve as you are gaining valuable experience on some of the best circuits in the world.
Q: What is your plan for 2014?
In 2014 I want to do my absolute best for AAI Motorsports both in the car and out of it too. I use my experience to try and help the team progress with the setup of their car and also work closely with my teammates so we can learn from each other. Providing we put all the pieces in place, I see no reason why we can’t be a favorite to win the Asian Le Mans Series championship in the BMW Z4 GT3
