The Thai round, originally scheduled for January 5-7, 2018, has been pushed back a week to January 11-13, 2018 so as to fall on National Children's Day in Thailand as it did this year, translating into more than 100,000 spectators at the race.
The Malaysian finale, orginally scheduled for January 19-21, 2018, has been delayed two weeks to February 2-4, 2018 so as to avoid interfering with the Rolex 24 at Daytona in which many drivers participate and pull significant media attention. The new date also doesn't clash with the Chinese new year on February 16, 2018.
So far, only the dates for the opening round at Zhejiang in China are up in the air. The race will either take place October 5-7 or 13-15 of this year.
