Asian LMS - The 4 Hours of Sepang program

This weekend will take place the Sepang round in Malaysia, the final round of the 2016/2017 Asian Le Mans Series season, with 28 cars set to take the start given on Sunday, January 22nd at 12:15 p.m. local time.

The free practice and qualifying sessions as well as the race will take place over the two upcoming weekend days, January 21st and 22nd. The competitors will hit the track for the first time on Saturday at 8:15 a.m. for a 90-minute free practice session, then a second one of the same duration starting at 12:45 p.m.

There will be no room for error since the two 15-minute qualifying sessions are both scheduled on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. for the GTs and 5:40 p.m. for the prototypes. There is no warm-up in the Asian Le Mans Series, so after the traditional autograph session from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 22nd, at 12:15 p.m. the competitors will head immediately into the four-hour race which can be live-streamed on the championship's website.

This last round is of the utmost importance as most of the titles, and therefore automatic invitations to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the LM P2, LM P3 and GT classes, are still up for grabs.

All times are indicated as local times. Subtract eight hours for the time in the U.K.
