Aston Martin Racing drivers in training for the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans

Aston Martin Racing drivers recently took part in a training session with the goal of preparing for the 88th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 13-14 June.

The 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans is less than 100 days away and competitors are already getting ready, including Aston Martin Racing drivers in the FIA World Endurance Championship who recently attended a training camp to prep for the big race. It was held at Quinta Do Lago, a cutting-edge performance and innovation campus located in Algarve, Portugal. Among the drivers present were Nicky Thiim, Richard Westbrook, Charlie Eastwood and Harry Tincknell.

During the training camp, the drivers took part in multiple individual and group sporting activities such as biking, football, canoeing and running. This camp was designed to forge a bond between the drivers and to unite the team as it takes on the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Aston Martin Racing will be competing in two classes at the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Super Finale of the 2019-2020 FIA WEC. Two Aston Martin Vantage AMRs will take the start in LMGTE Pro, with Nicki Thiim confirmed for the #95 and Maxime Martin for the #97. For now, Paul Dalla Lana is the only driver confirmed for the #98 in the LMGTE Am class. British team TF Sport will also field an Aston Martin Vantage AMR in LMGTE Am to be driven by Salih Yoluc, Charles Eastwood and Jonathan Adam.

Aston Martin is currently in the top spot in the GT Manufacturer standings in the FIA WEC with a 32-point lead on Porsche and 40 on Ferrari. The 1000 Miles of Sebring in Florida, the next round of the 2019-2020 season, is set for 18-20 March.
