Benoît Tréluyer, three-time winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans along with Marcel Fässler and André Lotterer, is a moto fan and especially of enduro which he practices diligently, but he also mountain bikes at the Deux Alpes ski station where he bought a chalet equipped with all the sport training equipment available to rent. The Alençon native enjoys the alpine hills for mountain biking and motocross.
Meanwhile, Filipe Albuquerque, who was at the wheel of the third R18 e-tron quattro entered by Audi at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, trains in mountain biking with a professor emeritus: Helder Padilha, three-time champion from Portugal. An undertaking that can only benefit Albuquerque since one must react very fast to oncoming obstacles.
Other drivers, however, have no time for a breather during the summer break as they compete in other championships than the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), such as Lucas di Grassi who recently celebrated his birthday, and Loïc Duval. The two teammates in the No. 8 conducted testing in preparation for the second Formula E season. Di Grassi claimed the third step on the final podium of the first season, while Duval finished ninth after missing the first four races of the season.
All these drivers, with the exception of Albuquerque, who is competing in the European Le Mans Series with Jota Sport, will get back in their cars for the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, fourth round of the FIA WEC on August 30th.
