Victory was gained by a hundredth of a second! In the sprint, team Vulco won for the 3rd consecutive time in the '24 Heures Vélo'.
Team Vulco, semi-professional based in Vaulx-en-Velin (Rhône),on Sunday August 26 won the 24 Hours Cycling event contested on the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans. The winning quartet consisted of two French riders (Gregory Cassini, Rudy Lesschaeve), a New Zealander (Sam Lindsay) and a Latvian (Martins Trautmanis) who traveled 970 km to over 40 km/h average. After 86,684 seconds of racing (24h04'44 "), Martins Trautmanis beat Boris Zimin (Ohlmann Team RLM) by a hundredth of a second!
Other performances included: Mario Funes, at 81 years old, did 59 laps or 247 kilometers! Finally, note that 2000 participants from 20 countries took part in the 4th edition of this unmissable event.
Now for motorised two-wheelers: on the 8th and 9th of September with the '24 Hours Moto'.
