Bruno Senna, opens a new chapter at Le Mans (+ video)

In 2009, Brazilian driver Bruno Senna first appeared at Le Mans at the wheel of an open cockpit LMP2 Oreca. After his drives in Formula One it makes a change to have a roof over his head.

"The day I drove the Vantage GTE it was a little strange” remembers Senna. “Not only did I have a roof over my head but it was also damp and dark. It was hard work and it took a bit of getting used to just like any other race car. It was a pleasure and fun to drive the Aston Martin at the limit. " Bruno Senna has already seen success in endurance racing . After winning the LM GTE Pro class at the opening race of the World Championship at Silverstone in 2013 with Stefan Mücke and Darren Turner, he went on to finish second at Spa-Francorchamps, this time driving with Frédéric Makowiecki and Rob Bell, his team mates this year at Le Mans . What does it feel like to be a front running GT driver on the eve of 24 hours particularly where points count double: "I did not expect it at all, it was a nice surprise. I knew we would be competitive, because the car was very good in testing. It really allowed us to attack and achieve these results. The team have been working on strategy just as they did at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps. These were two great results for us. "

So will Bruno Senna be on the podium of the Le Mans 24hrs? It is not impossible, but the battle in LM GTE Pro will be tough with Ferrari, Corvette, Porsche and Viper.
